Beijing, May 10 (Xinhua) – A significant initiative has been set in motion as nine departments, with the Ministry of Education at the forefront, jointly issued a notice recently. The notice is about the well – organized holding of the 2025 Vocational Education Week, which is scheduled to take place from May 11th to 17th. This year’s event carries the theme “A Skill in Hand, a Worry – Free Life”, aiming to highlight the importance and benefits of vocational education.
One of the most notable features of this year’s Activity Week is the introduction of “Theme Activity Days” for the first time. These days include the “Vocational Education Development Seminar Day”, “Demonstration Day for Integration of Vocational and General Education”, “Demonstration Day for Integration of Industry and Education”, “Vocational Education Overseas Exhibition Day”, “Skilled Talent Showcase Day”, “Vocational Education Volunteer Service Day”, and “Local Characteristic Activity Day”. The purpose of these themed days is to encourage all regions and departments to make full use of the activity week’s duration. By doing so, they can rationally arrange different publicity themes, ensuring that there are activities and continuous highlights every day during the week.
On the national level, the Ministry of Education, along with seven other departments, has taken the lead in various activities. They are organizing and carrying out the publicity of the “Skills Illuminate the Future” training action. There is also the connection of “Vocational Education Empowering the Digital Transformation of Small and Medium – sized Enterprises”. Additionally, the National Vocational College Smart Agriculture Skills Competition will be held. The “China Workers’ Grand Ideological and Political Class” is set to enter vocational colleges, and the “Craftsmanship Building Dreams” campaign will be launched within their respective systems. In total, there are 14 national – level activities, such as the “Career Initiation for the Future” themed Youth League Day and the founding conference of the National “Ruyu Plan” Career Development Alliance. Moreover, the Ministry of Education has mobilized 43 national vocational education teaching steering committees for various industries. These committees have meticulously designed over 80 national – level characteristic activities tailored for different industries.
Regarding local activities, the Notice has put forward clear requirements. All localities are urged to carefully create distinctive and eye – catching activities based on the “seven – day Theme Activity Day”. They are expected to design and implement a series of typical activities that are of high value, widely recognized, and have a significant influence. This comprehensive approach at both national and local levels is set to make the 2025 Vocational Education Week a remarkable and impactful event, promoting the development and recognition of vocational education across the country.
