Learning Care Group Supports Military Families with Child Care Discounts and Real-Time Connection Tools

by Beatrice

As Memorial Day nears, Learning Care Group (LCG), the second-largest provider of early education and child care in North America, is highlighting its strong support for military families. The company is honoring service members by offering exclusive discounts and partnering with national programs that make quality child care more affordable and accessible.

LCG is one of the largest off-base child care providers for military families in the United States. It offers a 10% discount to service members. The company also works with several federal and state subsidy programs, including Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood and Child Care Development Block Grants.

One key initiative is LCG’s participation in the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood – PLUS (MCCYN) program. This program, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and active in 18 states, helps military families find and afford high-quality child care that meets their unique needs.

To support families during deployments, LCG has also introduced a digital tool called the SproutAbout app. This secure and encrypted platform allows parents to check in on their children in real time through live video. It is available across all LCG schools and can be accessed on mobile devices.

Ensign Ryan Imm, a Navy officer and parent, shared his experience. “Having access to La Petite’s SproutAbout app while deployed is one of the many reasons we chose to enroll our daughter. It gives us peace of mind and lets me see her even when I’m far away,” he said.

John Bork, LCG’s President, Chief Operating Officer, and incoming CEO, emphasized the company’s mission. “We know that military life can be full of uncertainty. We want to make sure child care is never one of those worries. That’s why we offer discounts across all our brands and let parents stay connected through our SproutAbout app,” he said.
