Openhouse, a new family learning centre, has opened its first preschool in India. The centre aims to bring a fresh approach to early childhood education. Openhouse is based on play-based learning and focuses on the needs of each child. Its method encourages hands-on exploration, creativity, and fun. The preschool is designed to be a caring second home for young children.
Openhouse provides programs for children aged 9 months to 10 years. These include parent-toddler sessions, preschool with daycare, and special extracurricular activities. Families can also take part in holiday camps, workshops, and weekend playdates. These activities help children learn while also building strong family connections. The centre is made to support both children and their families. The founders say starting the preschool was a natural step. They want Openhouse to be a one-stop place for early learning.
The founders, Yash Poddar and Akshay Rampuria, both alumni of Stanford University, bring global ideas to India’s early education system. Openhouse centres are large and carefully designed. They include makerspaces, ateliers, water and sand play areas, libraries, and music rooms. These spaces are created to inspire curiosity and discovery. The founders saw a need for better quality education centres in India. They believe every child deserves access to world-class education.
“Today’s parents want more than just childcare. They want joyful learning and a supportive community,” said Yash Poddar. “At Openhouse, we do more than teach. We support parents and families during these important early years,” added Akshay Rampuria.
