Prudential Zenith Life Insurance Ltd (PZL) has introduced a new program aimed at helping children in Lagos become more financially responsible. The initiative seeks to protect both current and future generations from the problems that come with poor financial knowledge.
As part of this program, Prudential Zenith Life invited the children of its employees to a special “Bring Your Kid to Work Day” held in celebration of Children’s Day. The event combined financial literacy workshops, fun games, and lively entertainment to create an enjoyable and educational experience for the children.
Funmilayo Abimbola Omo, Managing Director and CEO of Prudential Zenith Life, highlighted the importance of teaching financial skills early. She said, “We believe that children are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also agents of change today. By introducing them to important life skills like financial literacy in a fun way, we are helping to build a financially responsible future generation. This fits well with Prudential’s commitment to ‘Every Life and for Every Future.’”
The event took place at the company’s headquarters in Lagos. It gave children a chance to learn about the workplace while gaining important money management skills. The main feature was a financial literacy workshop based on the award-winning Cha-Ching model. This program teaches children the basics of earning, saving, spending, and donating through interactive and fun activities.
Cha-Ching was developed by Prudence Foundation, the community outreach arm of Prudential. It helps young people learn how to make smart financial choices that support lifelong wellbeing and resilience.
Besides the workshops, the day included face painting, board games, and music. These activities created a lively environment where children could have fun while learning. Parents and guardians appreciated the chance to share their workplace with their kids, which helped strengthen the sense of family and community within the company.
Prudential Zenith Life’s “Bring Your Kid to Work Day” shows the company’s focus on people. It demonstrates their commitment to supporting family connections, encouraging work-life balance, and promoting the overall growth of children.
