The Sri Sathya Sai district representative of the Andhra Pradesh Union of Professional Journalists (APUWJ) has submitted a petition to District Collector TS Chetan, demanding free education for children of journalists in all private schools and colleges in the area.
A delegation from APUWJ, led by representatives Pullayya and Babu, recently met with the Collector to highlight the need for complete fee exemptions for nearly 60 children of journalists in the district.

In response to the petition, Collector TS Chetan directed the District Education Officer, Krishtayya, who attended the meeting, to investigate the matter and take necessary action as soon as possible.
