Staff at the nursery were praised for fostering a love of reading and writing in the children. They showed enthusiasm when reading stories, which sparked excitement and interest in the young learners.

The inspection report noted that the children were keen to take part in activities. They were seen giggling and enjoying simple games, such as the “hokey cokey,” while holding hands with friends.

The curriculum was recognized as well-structured, offering a variety of activities to support each child’s learning needs. Inspectors observed staff helping infants with puzzles to develop fine motor skills and supporting toddlers in activities like digging in the sand, which helped build sensory tolerance and social skills.

Older children were encouraged to improve their communication skills, with staff prompting them to recall and share personal experiences with the group.

Parents praised the staff for their strong relationships with the children. Many shared that their children enjoyed participating in activities and had good connections with their key worker. Children were noted to be well-supported, making strong progress in their development.

In addition to the classroom activities, the nursery offers outdoor experiences such as walks in the woods and visits to local parks. During spring, children help hatch ducklings, which they then visit regularly at a nearby farm to watch grow.

The report also highlighted the nursery’s guinea pigs, which children help care for. On weekends, families have the option to take the guinea pigs home, allowing them to share this experience with their parents and carers.
