Organic Farm has unveiled a new agricultural learning centre aimed at children and families during school holidays. Named the ‘Nature Classroom,’ the programme offers hands-on activities designed to teach kids about nature, agriculture, and animal care in a safe, fun environment.
Ekasit Bangsee, the executive behind Organic Farm, explained that the facility is more than just a place for organic farming. It serves as both a learning centre and a recreational space, particularly for children, where they can engage in educational activities, build life skills, and develop a deeper appreciation for nature.
“In today’s digital world, children spend too much time on screens,” said Ekasit. “We wanted to offer them a chance to learn through real-life experiences, such as growing rice, cultivating vegetables, and feeding animals. These activities are not only enjoyable but also teach children the importance of nature and the food we eat.”
The farm features a range of exciting activities, including:
- Growing Rice – Experience traditional farming methods by planting and harvesting rice in a real rice field.
- Organic Farming – Learn how to grow vegetables without chemicals, from planting seeds to harvesting crops.
- Animal Encounters – Get close to farm animals like chickens, sheep, ducks, buffaloes, raccoons, meerkats, and more. Children can safely participate in animal feeding activities.
In addition to activities for kids, the farm offers spaces for visitors of all ages to enjoy:
- Family Activities – Spend quality time in nature, learning and bonding together.
- Senior-Friendly Spaces – Relax in peaceful areas designed for older visitors.
- Relaxation Zones – Comfortable spaces for everyone to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
“The farm is not just for learning but also a place for families to connect. Children gain new experiences, parents can see their children grow, and seniors can enjoy a peaceful retreat,” Ekasit added.
The Organic Farm is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during school holidays. Families are invited to visit for a meaningful outdoor learning experience.
