Tottenham Hotspur’s charity has joined forces with energy company Schneider Electric to offer interactive STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) lessons at 12 primary schools across London.
Launching in the summer term, the programme aims to teach essential STEM skills to students in local schools, focusing on areas such as robotics, sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and eMobility. The initiative targets children from some of London’s most disadvantaged areas.
The programme will include interactive workshops where students can learn through hands-on activities, as well as immersive challenge days designed to foster teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving using real-world scenarios.
Employees from Schneider Electric will support the initiative as part of the company’s volunteering programme. In addition, both students and teachers will have access to a digital learning platform, providing resources, tutorials, and ongoing educational opportunities.
The nine-week programme will conclude with a ‘Finals Day’ event, where students will showcase the skills they’ve learned at F1 DRIVE London, an electric karting track beneath the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Kelly Becker, President of Schneider Electric UK, Ireland, Belgium, and the Netherlands, emphasized the importance of inspiring young talent to drive the energy transition. By expanding our partnership, we aim to educate and empower the local community to build sustainable energy solutions for the future.”
